Graduate Record Examinations - The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) is a standardized test designed to test your analytical writing abilities and your qualitative and quantitative reasoning. There are three sections of the GRE, respectively. It is highly recommended that you prepare for the GRE thoroughly and well in advance to your testing date. You can access some sample tests from www.ets.org and you can purchase materials through test preparation companies. Additionally, you can take preparatory courses through the test preparation companies if that would be advantageous to you. Within the United States and Canada, you take the GRE on a computer. You can take the test almost any day except for Sundays and holidays. Be sure to schedule a date for your test well in advance and that you allow plenty of time to possibly retake the exam. You also need to be sure that you will have ample time to have your scores sent to each school you are applying to.
